Welcome to my blog. Here I document my pilgrimage; it’s an invitation for you to journey alongside me to find your health and wellness. If you missed it, catch up with Part One HERE
Breaking my journey into challenges, current habits, and future goals has given me clarity and direction. It’s helped me see how far I’ve come, and where I want to go next. I hope this approach encourages you to reflect on your own wellness path. Your journey is just as valuable, inspiring, and worth sharing.
Challenges, Lessons, and Looking Ahead.
Every wellness journey is shaped not only by the successes we celebrate but also by the challenges that push us to grow. In this second part of my journey, I want to share the obstacles I’ve faced, the lessons they taught me, and how they shaped the routine I follow today. I hope that these reflections help you see your own path more clearly — because progress isn’t linear, but it is possible.
Challenges and What They Taught Me
1. Staying Consistent When Motivation Fades
One of the biggest challenges I encountered was maintaining consistency on days when I felt tired, stressed, or overwhelmed. There were mornings when the thought of movement felt exhausting and evenings when healthy meals required more energy than I had.
What I learned:
Motivation isn’t something you can rely on — it fluctuates daily. Consistency grows when habits are easy, enjoyable, and aligned with your “why.” Instead of chasing perfection, I now focus on small, doable steps that keep me grounded.
2. Letting Go of All-or-Nothing Thinking
In the beginning, I believed that if I missed a workout or indulged in something “off plan,” the entire day was ruined. This mindset only led to guilt and discouragement.
What I learned:
Wellness isn’t a strict formula; it’s a flexible, forgiving relationship with yourself. Small detours aren’t failures — they’re part of being human. The key is to reset without self-judgment.
3. Learning to Prioritise Rest
I underestimated the importance of rest early on. I pushed myself to do more, thinking progress was tied only to effort. The result? Burnout.
What I learned:
Rest is productive. Recovery helps the body heal, the mind recenter, and long-term goals stay sustainable. Now, I view rest days as essential checkpoints, not setbacks.
My Current Wellness Routine
My routine today is a reflection of what I’ve learned — balanced, intentional, and supportive of both my physical and emotional well-being.
Daily Movement
I aim for at least 30–45 minutes of movement each day, choosing whatever feels right: a morning walk, strength training, Pilates, or light stretching. The goal is to move with joy, not obligation.
Nourishing Foods
Meal planning has helped immensely. I focus on whole foods, balanced meals, and mindful eating. I allow myself flexibility while still choosing foods that make me feel energized rather than drained.
Mindfulness Practices
I incorporate short meditation sessions, journaling, or simple breathing exercises. These keep me grounded and help reduce stress before it builds.
Evening Wind-Down
I protect my evenings by limiting screen time, sipping herbal tea, and doing something restful — reading, gentle stretching, or simply reflecting on the day
Future Goals and How I Plan to Achieve Them
1. Deepening My Mind-Body Connection
I want to explore practices like yoga, breathwork, and mindful movement on a deeper level. I plan to attend workshops and try new styles until I find what truly resonates.
2. Building Long-Term Strength
My goal is to increase physical strength and mobility. I’ll continue following a structured but flexible strength-training routine, gradually challenging myself without rushing.
3. Expanding My Wellness Knowledge
Whether through books, podcasts, or courses, I want to keep learning about nutrition, stress management, and longevity. Knowledge empowers me to make better choices.
4. Creating More Balance
Ultimately, I want a life where wellness feels integrated, not forced. That means setting healthy boundaries, prioritising joy, and being intentional about how I spend my time.
Remember you only have one life to live- So live it on Purpose in FAITH, HOPE & LOVE 💕
